Missions

Eight years ago, some dreamers got together and decided to create a camp that gave both middle and high school youth the opportunity to help folks out by showing love in a tangible way. They went the traditional route and created a work camp that went out into the community and repaired homes. If it made your home warmer, safer or drier and you wanted our help, we found a way to make it happen.

Over the years we have done everything from clean trash out of back yards to build a sixty-foot long bridge across a ravine so the ambulance could get through. We've prided ourselves in stretching our campers, meeting the needs of our community and being God's hands. Times have changed and our camp has evolved. We still do the home repairs... but we have added a few features.

As we become aware of needs in the community, as opportunities present themselves, and as we grow in our understanding of God's call for the Fieldstone Community, we strive to rise to the occasion. We have home repair, a community garden, a children's day camp, a food cooperative, junior internships, and who knows what else by the time you arrive!

Project SPY is a great opportunity to Reach, Open, Connect and Kindle fire in the New River Valley.

  • Food Pantry, Friday Night 6:00-7:00 PM

Every Friday night we open our Food Pantry to serve others in our community. This is a great opportunity to serve and connect with the community. You can contact Kim Schwenk for ways you can start food drives, collect food, organize the pantry and volunteer. Check out more info at The Giving Tree Food Pantry

Consider yourself invited! This summer we are offering a mission opportunity for rising 1st-5th graders called Mini-SPY. It might be called mini, but it’s going to be HUGE for our kids as they have an opportunity to Reach into the New River Valley in service.

Mini-SPY will offer our kids and their parents a chance to work with the Fieldstone Community for a two day Project SPY experience! This Camp will offer mission opportunities, worship, crafts, games, fellowship and much more.

We believe that God can use even the youngest of children to show the NRV the hands and feet of Jesus.

Mark your calendar NOW for June 7-9 2013 and join your child in mission as we ROCK for Jesus!
